In KTMs own words they “are highly motivated to establish a new level of riding sensation” – so, true to KTMs well-established reputation for delivering exciting, muscular and edgy designs here is the latest idea – KTM Scalpel concept.
Probably the biggest change is KTMs move away from the traditional single (LC4) and V-twin configuration (LC8) by offering an 800cc parallel twin. Horsepower figures are sketchy but a few crystal ballers out there forecast around 110hp pushing around a very light-weight 185kg hand-welded steel frame.
Other innovations and value-adds include an advance ride by wire throttle system, a quick shifter, traction control and a wild IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). Also complementing the race inspired package will be fully adjustable high-end suspension by White Power along with customizable engine rider modes and integrated connectivity.
